How many days do you need in Riga Latvia?
While you can undoubtedly see the main tourist attractions in 1 or 2 days in Riga, I recommending spending at least 3 days in Riga to give yourself an opportunity to explore beyond the central areas of the city.
Is Latvia good for tourists?
Very good food and nice atmosphere. You see the prices. They are very reasonable for an upmarket restaurant. Accommodation is considerably cheaper than in the UK, especially in villages and countryside where you can rent a country cottage with sauna or stay in a nice B&B (viesu nams in Latvian) for almost nothing.
Is it worth going to Latvia?
Yes, Riga is absolutely doable as a trip on its own, as is Latvia as a whole. I think Riga is off the beaten path as it has all the charm and beauty but nowhere near the level of tourism of similar cities like Prague, Krakow, even Ljubljana. Here are my favorite highlights of the city!

But Latvians – while not overtly gregarious – are very friendly. Nearly all Latvians speak three languages well. Most Latvians will gladly assist, and many will go the extra mile to showcase Latvias hospitable side.
